Mooresville, NC – The Mooresville Community Children’s Theatre now is accepting applications for their 2016 Clayton Miller Scholarship. This youth scholarship is named after Mr. Clayton Miller, the founder of Mooresville Community Theatre, who gave his time, talent and treasure to bring theatre to our town. Clayton’s passion for theatre is carried on through this scholarship program. The amount of funding is dependent on the level of donations received. The 2019 award is $1,000. Email or mail completed application by May 1, 2019. Announcement of our recipient will be made on May 15, 2019.
We believe the gift of theatre for these students will benefit the community beyond the theatre sector, as they take their dedication to theatre, and apply this same dedication and passion to the rest of their lives. Our scholarship recipient will be an older high school student or beginning college student who has already established an interest in the theatre. It can be used to pursue higher level education in any aspect of theatre from acting to directing to design.
